Ear and Sinus Surgery, Hearing and Balance Disorders, Adult ENT Specialist
Dr. Josh Yorgason is a highly skilled specialist in ear and sinus surgery, as well as hearing and balance disorders, treating both adult and pediatric ENT conditions. He studied Human Biology at Brigham Young University and earned dual undergraduate degrees in Neuroscience & Behavior and Slavic Literature from Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Yorgason went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Neurotologic Society.
Dr. Yorgason’s extensive postgraduate training includes a general surgery internship at the University of Texas Southwestern and Parkland Memorial Hospital, an inner ear cell and molecular biology research fellowship at the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles, an otolaryngology residency at the University of Utah and Primary Children's Medical Center, and a neurotology fellowship at the renowned Paparella Ear, Head and Neck Institute in Minneapolis.
In Minnesota, Dr. Yorgason was a respected member of the community and was on hospital staff at Allina Health, M Health Fairview, St. Paul Children’s Hospital, Maple Grove Hospital and North Memorial Hospital. He also led as Director of the Paparella Ear, Head, and Neck Institute Fellowship Program and he established the MN Ear & Sinus Center. He served on the Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Hearing Committee, the Committee on Implantable Hearing Devices, as well as an associate of the Advanced Otology Fellowship Consortium.
Dr. Yorgason recently relocated to Arizona and already left a mark and he is well-beloved by his patients. He worked as a first responder during COVID at Banner University Medical Center, and then provided his otology expertise at Arizona Otolaryngology Consultants in North Phoenix and Glendale. Dr. Yorgason serves on the medical staff of several hospitals, including Banner University Medical Center, Banner Desert Medical Center and Banner Thunderbird Medical Center.
His contributions to medical literature are significant, and he has twice been honored with the NIH Institutional Research Award as well as the Stephen Gray Memorial Resident Research Award.
Outside of work, Dr. Yorgason enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and expressing his love for music by singing, playing the piano and guitar. He also has a passion for sports and outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, skiing, and photography.

Completed over 3500 surgical cases upon residency graduation, including otologic, neurotologic, head & neck oncologic and reconstructive surgery, skull base, pediatric and facial plastic surgeries. - Fellowship: Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery (2002-2003)
Program Director: Dr. Michael Paparella and Dr. Hamed Sajjadi Associations with University of MN, Minneapolis, Fairview Riverside Hospital, Abbott Hospital, Children's and Mercy Hospital. Extensive exposure in all facets of otology/neurotology including chronic ear disease, stapedectomy, cochlear implantation, tympanoplasty, endolymphatic sac surgery, acoustic neuroma, tumors of the skull base, facial nerve disorders and vestibular surgery and rehabilitation.
